We use our native language everyday in all situations, but when it comes to learning a foreign language we often stick to study books only. Every student has a different way of learning- some are very visual, others learn easily by directly applying their new knowledge to a situation at hand, and some just learn by heart. In my lessons, we apply the way of learning and teaching that fits you best. I master a wide range of study techniques, among which Mind Mapping, which enables a student to gain knowledge quicker in an interactive fashion. Program Description I am Dutch-American teacher, currently residing in Istanbul, Turkey. I am a graduate from University of Utrecht (BA), University of Leiden (MA) and Bosphorus University (MA). I am a very experienced and successful teacher- during a period of 5 years I have taught various subjects at various levels at a top-notch private institute in Utrecht, the Netherlands. I myself have taken TOEFL and GRE succesfully and am able to give preparation classes. Also, I teach conversation lessons, exercises in grammar, or can work with you towards a specific goal- private or business. Courses are taught in English, French or Dutch. We can speak Turkish when necessary for understanding. I teach 3 days a week, and try to arrange my classes in such a way that all students can make it in one of those days. I prefer my students to pay either one month ahead or cash per class. I am very experienced in working with children in general, I have organized and worked as councilor in summer camps and am generally able to be on good terms with my students- next to making progress we tend to have a lot of fun during our classes.
