Slowly, the language script needs to be introduced, to reinforce learning and to facilitate recognition of its written words. I am proficient at Hindi to help at speaking/reading/writing at the beginner and intermediate levels. I can help introduce interested students to spoken Bengali and Punjabi, and perhaps also to basic reading and writing. I enjoy a one-to-one approach, no fixed pedagogy, allowing the student to pace herself. Program Description I grew up in Calcutta, India... a unique multicultural city, with more than 15 million people. My mother-tongue is Punjabi, but I have had twelve years of Hindi at School (in which I was usually at the opt of my class), and speak Bengali (Bangla) as a native. I started tutoring in Calcutta as a High school Student (some 15 years ago). I have a passion for teaching, and a passion for languages - I have picked up smatterings of Gujarati, Arabic, German and French from different places. Teaching Experience Have tutored privately and as a trainer for professional learning centres in India. I am new to Canada, and I do not have tutoring experience here, apart from tutoring in Accounting at the University of Calgary.
