I am a young, enthusiastic and driven professional teacher in Dutch as a second language. Because of my Bachelor degree in Dutch language and culture and my Masters degree in Dutch as a second language I can combine specific knowledge about the Dutch language with knowledge about second language acquisition in general.
Learning a second language is two steps forward and one step back, but when you experience the progress you make it's most of all just a lot of fun! It makes you experience a new approach to the world and new insights in how languages work and what their influence is on how you see everything around you: language shapes the way people think and feel.

In the very first lesson I start with getting to know the student and his/her individual state of knowledge and skills in the foreign language.
After I have received my first impression I continue with creating an individual plan of development for each student in which I record his or her personal aims and goals.
According to this I develop a plan of both short-term as well as long-term goals in consultation with each student.
In my lessons I will work through four different skills:

listening
writing
speaking
