Teaching approach:	Back to the Basics" will be my modus operandi or method of approach in teaching the languages. While lots of importance is being given to the "native" language speakers' so-called advantage over others, the fact remains that India turns out some of the very best English writers and speakers among all non-English nations . Moreover, most of the English teachers in India are Indians and not Westerners ! This paradox is simply due to the fundamentally simple and basic approach in Indian schools that emphasizes grammar and vocabulary. As a beginning Thai learner myself, I am finding that this "Basic" approach is helping me tremendously. Moreover, the English learner should not be just confined to the four walls of a class room , but exposed to the outside world , in the shopping malls and coffee shops, where there will be greater opportunity to develp a natural flow and fluency.
