Lessons are based on the language as it is spoken as a living community language. Frequent use of technology including extensive sound file archive of native speakers. Instructor is primary author of one of the major textbook/CDs for beginning Irish and teaches Irish full-time at one of the largest public universities in the United States. He has taught the Irish language to nearly 1,000 students over the past 20 years. He has served as the president of a multi-national Celtic language teacher group and has written numerous research articles and book chapters.
